Bun Cha Dac Kim | 1 Hàng Mành, Hàng Gai, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội, Vietnam
Long before Bourdain and Obama sat down together for bun cha, Tony stopped by this little stall to get the delicious Vietnamese dish.  (NR1.4, 2005)

Thu-Khoi | near Dankia Lake in Lam Dong Province’s Da Lat Town
The address is sketchy at best, but if you watch the show you’ll see the place probably doesn’t really have an address, and it didn’t look like it had a name, either.  Here, Tony and compatriots ate porcupine, deer mouse, and had some questionable homemade liquor.  This is the best idea for the place, as after the episode it was raided due to it being illegal to “exploit the mouse deer for commercial purposes.” Two porcupines were confiscated in the raid, and Travel Channel agreed to air the episode in an edited form in regards to the deer mouse. Home | Lac Village
Here’s another difficult one – Tony joins a family for dinner and drinks at their home in the Lac Village.  (NR1.4, 2005)

Resort | Tuan Chau Island
The group meets Mr Sang at his resort on Tuan Chau Island in the Ha Long Bay.  They never say which resort, though, as they have a private dinner.  The crew gets there via boat in the Ha Long Bay, which had to have been for purposes of getting good shots, since there is a 2km road from the mainland that will get you to the island.  (NR1.4, 2005)
